Contacting the council online

by Laura Johnston

More council services are now available online at www.knowsley.gov.uk, with many more in development and due to be available online over the coming months.

Contacting the council online is the fastest way to contact us and you can do it on a day and time to suit you – our website can be accessed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We have prioritised our most popular services to be available online. You can:-

  • Apply for a school place, emergency support, a blue badge, Council Tax reduction, housing benefit, parking permit, planning application, replacement maroon, blue or grey bin and set up a direct debit.
  • Book a Register Office appointment, Taxi MOT text or pest control visit.
  • Report litter, fly tipping, dog fouling, missed bin collection, noise problem, road problems (including pot holes) and faulty street lights.
  • Pay for your Council Tax, Business Rates, planning applications and Fixed Penalty Notices.

To help you find what you need, we’ve also developed an online chat facility, so if you need a helping hand, we can guide you through the online process. Simply visit the online services section on the council’s website, then click on chat to an advisor.  The online chat is available from 9am until 5pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and 9am until 4pm on Wednesday.

We also have Digital Champions available in each of the One Stop Shops in Halewood, Huyton, Kirkby and Prescot, who can help you to get online and guide you through the process.

Remember, you can use the PCs for free in each of the One Stop Shops and keep visiting the council’s website to see the latest online developments.
