Consultation on proposed new SEND travel support policy for people in Knowsley

by Jonathan Kearney

Knowsley Council wants your views on its new draft Travel Support Policy for people with with special educational needs (SEND) in Knowsley.

The draft document sets out the council’s approach to providing travel support for children, young people (including those aged 0 and 25 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) and adults who live in Knowsley.

Travel support can help children, young people and adults to access the services and opportunities that meet their needs, such as education and training, as well as care services. Travel support can be provided in a variety of ways depending on individual needs but can include travel pass provision to enable independent travel and travel by taxi, mini bus or specialist vehicle.
