Residents, visitors and shoppers can look forward to a host of exciting, free events in our town centres over the festive period.
Huyton Village Centre and Kirkby and Prescot Town Centres will have something for the whole family to enjoy, with events taking place every Saturday during December in the lead up to Christmas.
Festivities will begin with our light switch-on events in November, followed by lots of exciting events to whet your appetite for the big day!
Throughout December families can also visit Santa’s grotto in Huyton Village Centre and Kirkby Town Centre, while Market Place in Prescot will host the Imaginarium Theatre’s Father Christmas Story Time from 13 November right up to Christmas Eve! Tickets are available at www.imaginariumtheatre.co.uk and payment is on entry in Huyton and Kirkby.

Kirkby Town Centre
Saturday events 11.30am – 3.30pm unless stated (Market acts 11.30-3pm)
Thursday 25 November – Christmas lights switch on
26 and 27 November – Christmas pop up cinema
Throughout December – Christmas grotto (near Costa Coffee, St Chads) – running every Thursday, Friday & Saturday to Thursday 16 December, then open daily up to and including Christmas Eve. Times: 11am to 5pm, Saturdays 10.30am to 5.30 pm. Cost is £6 per child to include a present and a laminated photo in a folder.
Saturday 3 December – Kirkby Winter Warmer: Food and drink event including live entertainment and food and drink vendors (Newtown Gardens) 4pm – 9pm
Saturday 4 December – Stilt walking candy canes, stilt walking snow queen and the grinch!
Saturday 11 December – Nutcrackers stilt walkers and the amazing icicle king ball juggler!
Saturday 11 December – Acro Chaps – Funky Santa and his helpers (Kirkby Market)
Saturday 18 December – Come and meet Hodman and Sally, the amazing acrobatic elf and the stilt walking candy canes
Saturday 18 December – Holly and Ivy, the Christmas crackers and Santa’s Little Jazzers (Kirkby Market)
