Children appeal for a forever home

by Laura Johnston

‘Parents wanted’ is the heartfelt appeal from children waiting to be adopted in the latest video from Adopt North West.

It highlights the fact there are children in Knowsley, and across the region, waiting longer to be adopted because they’re older, siblings, or have extra needs.

There’s a real need for loving, adoptive families for children aged three and over, also for sibling groups and children with additional care needs. Boys will also wait longer than girls for a forever family.

Knowsley Council is one of 22 local authorities involved in Adopt North West, a regional awareness campaign highlighting the need for families for children waiting the longest to be adopted and breaking down the myths about adoption.

The campaign’s TV adverts are also back on our screens throughout April.

All kinds of people adopt, if you’d like to find out more adoption and whether it is right for you please visit the campaign’s website: www.adoptnorthwest.co.uk
