Changes to symptomatic testing site in Huyton

by Guy Murphy

The symptomatic testing site based in Huyton Village Centre (opposite Huyton Library) will be moving on Monday 9 August. The testing site will only be moving a few metres to another area of the Archway Road car park (known as the ‘Brown’ zone, next to the Asda petrol station).

Symptomatic tests are only available through an appointment only system (by booking an appointment at www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or by ringing 119) so the booking system will be updated to ensure no appointments are available on 9 and 10 August.

There are two other PCR testing sites in Knowsley (Kirkby and Stockbridge Village) plus a number of others around the city region. You can find out where the nearest site with availability is when booking your PCR test online or over the phone.

If you have any of the COVID symptoms (high temperature, new or persistent cough or a loss of taste or smell), stay at home and book a test through www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or ring 119.
