Car parking update in Kirkby town centre

by Nicola Appleton

In order to facilitate some external works to support the new retail development in Kirkby town centre, the multi-storey car park based on Norwich Way will be temporarily closed for four weeks from Monday, 12 October.

Whilst the works are being undertaken, a range of alternative short and long stay car parks are available in the town centre.

This includes car parks on Telegraph Way (immediately in front of the multi-storey car park), St Chads, Cherryfield Drive, Norwich Way and Kirkby Market. Disabled parking bays are available at a number of car parks including Cherryfield Drive, Norwich Way and Kirkby Market.

Regulations for each car park (such as the duration of stay) should be adhered to as outlined on signage.

The works support the new retail development in Kirkby town centre which includes the construction of a 45,000 sq ft Morrisons supermarket, petrol filling station, Home Bargains and drive-through KFC as well as other retail units.
