Cancer Awareness Roadshow to visit Huyton

by Sandra Issar

Cancer Research UK’s ‘Cancer Awareness Roadshow’ returns to Knowsley this month, encouraging people to make small, simple changes to live more healthily and reduce the risk of cancer.

The roadshow will visit Derby Road in Huyton Town Centre on Tuesday, 9 and Wednesday 10 August, from 10am to 4pm.

Cancer Research UK (CRUK) nurses will be able to let you know about the simple things you can do to reduce your risk of cancer, including changes you can make to lead a healthier lifestyle such as being more active, eating a healthier diet, maintaining a healthy weight, stopping smoking and cutting down on alcohol.  It’s also important to take part in cancer screening programmes such as breast, bowel and cervical when you’re invited.

They will provide information on how to spot cancer and advise speaking to your GP if you have any concerns, as it is much more likely to be treated successfully if picked up at an early stage.
