Can you help track down fly-tippers?

by Comms Team

Can you help identify offenders who fly-tipped waste in Kirkby?

They dumped a tent, wooden panels, cardboard, household waste and paint on Overbrook Lane on Knowsley Business Park.

The incident took place at approximately 2pm on Sunday 2 April.

Officers from Knowsley Council have since removed the waste and cleaned the paint from the road, but it cost the cash-strapped authority £170 to do so.

CCTV cameras have captured images of the suspected offenders, their vehicle – a white Ford transit van with a roof rack and a ladder at the rear – and the waste that was dumped. However, the vehicle registration is not clear in the images.

If you have any information which could help track down the offenders, please ring Knowsley Council’s Environmental Health team on 0151 443 2503.

Incidents of fly-tipping can be reported online via the Knowsley Council website.

Fly-tippers face a prison sentence and an unlimited fine.
