Cabinet members visit Christmas HAF activities across the borough

by Jonathan Kearney

Members of Knowsley’s Cabinet have been visiting some of the funded activities for children and young people that are taking place during the Christmas break.

The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, delivered by Knowsley SNAP, is providing thousands of activity places across the borough during the school holidays.

Activities will take place on 22, 23, 29 and 30 December 2025.

All eligible parents and carers have been issued vouchers containing a booking link to select the activity their child would like to attend.

The winter HAF programme includes provision for SEND. Please contact the activity providers for specific requirements.

Details of the activities can be found here.

Cllr Shelley Powell, Cabinet Member for Communities and Neighbourhoods, said: “It was fantastic to see so many children and young people enjoying the festive activities at TDCA in Halewood. Everyone taking part loved the festive crafts and games. I know these sessions are a big help to families during the school holidays.”

Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “I know parents and carers in Knowsley will be delighted to see the return of the HAF programme over the Christmas period. The children and young people who took part in the sport and fitness session I visited at Tower Hill Amateur Boxing Club really enjoyed it and it highlights the positive impact the HAF programme can have.”
