Home Children and Young People Bringing the outdoors indoors

Bringing the outdoors indoors

by Gemma Melling

Knowsley Council’s Green Spaces team have come up with some ideas to help us stay connected with nature from the comfort our own homes.

So whether you’re looking for activities to entertain the children, tips to improve your wellbeing, want to find out more about nature – or test your knowledge of our green spaces, we hope we’ve come up with something for everyone.

You can download the guide here.

There’s a section on stargazing with hints and tips about the best way to view night time skies, as well as a bird watching fact sheet and links to relevant websites. There’s even a section which highlights the many mental and physical health benefits from spending time in forests.

So now that spring is here – and with summer just around the corner – there’s never been a better time to explore  our great outdoors and discover what’s going on right on our doorstep!
