B&M has announced it is set to open a brand new store in Huyton, Liverpool creating more than 12 jobs for local people at the site. The new store is set to open its doors for the first time at 9am on Saturday 7 May 2022.

Opening at the former New Look and Poundland site situated in Cavendish Walk, Huyton, the new store will be bigger and better than the previous store located in the Huyton area with over 9,461 sq ft of sales space, offering an even bigger selection of great bargains.

Customers can expect to find a wide variety of branded groceries for the best possible price including a range of food, drink, and pet food. There will also be a fantastic selection of quality health and beauty products, homeware, electricals, DIY essentials, toys, games, gifts and plenty more to explore.

The colleagues were asked to nominate a local charity they think truly deserves some VIP treatment for the work they do for the local community. They chose the team from Paper Cup Project to take centre stage and officially unveil the new B&M store.

The Paper Cup Project offers assistance and support to people experiencing homelessness across Liverpool via outreach and the provision of food, clothes, drinks, mental health support and sign-posting to relevant services so that can assist people towards a route out of homelessness.

The store manager at B&M Huyton, said: “Our colleagues have been working really hard to get the store ready for opening day, we can’t wait to get the doors open and show customers their brand new B&M store.”

He also commented: “The Paper Cup Project really stood out for us so we wanted to give them some VIP treatment as a thank you for all the hard work that they have done, especially during the pandemic. We hope that our donation can help them to continue the great work.”
