Having been made aware of posts in local Facebook groups from an individual claiming to be working from the council, Knowsley Council would like to remind everyone that posts from the council will always come from official council accounts, not individual members of staff.
It is also a reminder never to give your personal information to anyone online, unless you are 100% certain they are who they say they are.
Scammers can often appear harmless, and may try to engage you in conversations. In the recent example, they have asked for feedback on local projects or ‘consultations’ which don’t exist. They may also encourage you to message them privately.
