Huyton Live returned to Huyton Village Centre last Friday (24 September 2021) with attendees heralding it as the best one yet.
The event returned this year following the disruptions of the pandemic in 2020.
Centred around an ‘Oktoberfest’ theme, attendees were treated to live music and food and drink stalls.
The Bavarian-themed live band was well received, with German food and drink and other types of street food on offer.
The successful Huyton Live event was followed the next day by the Village Centre’s first Artisan and Craft Market.
People attending the market were able to sample a range of food and drink stalls and vendors selling an array of hand made goods and gifts. These ranged from bath bombs and candles to hand-crafted copper ornaments, crochet items and personalised keepsakes.
Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “The feedback we had from attendees was this year’s Huyton Live was the best ever. There was a great turnout and once it was finished people were queueing to get in to the new bars and restaurants in the Village Centre. The Artisan and Craft Market was equally as successful, with people asking when the next one will be! Hopefully these events will become the norm in Huyton Village Centre because there’s clearly a huge appetite for them.”
