A new Benetton childrenswear store opened its doors today (Thursday 10 March 2022) at 25 St Chad’s Parade in Kirkby Town Centre.

The store was officially opened by Radio City Breakfast Show presenter Leanne Campbell.

Claire Vaughan, Owner and Director of Benetton Liverpool and Kirkby, said: “I’m delighted to be opening today in Kirkby Town Centre.  It’s a great town which has attracted a lot of investment and I’m really looking forward to getting to know the local community.”

Councillor Tony Brennan, Knowsley Council’s Regeneration and Economic Development Cabinet Member, added: “I was delighted to attend the opening of Benetton childrenswear today and I know that our residents will also be really pleased to see the opening of another new store in Kirkby Town Centre.

“Two years ago, we asked the local communities “What makes a good town centre?”, and their priorities were a better choice of retail, including clothes shops, as well as more places to eat and drink.

“Since that consultation, we have constructed and opened a retail development – which is now the home of a Morrisons superstore, Taco Bell and KFC drive-through restaurants, a Morrisons petrol station, and a larger Home Bargains store.

“We are continuing to promote Kirkby as an attractive location to businesses and I hope to be able to share details of yet more businesses who have chosen Kirkby to be their home over the coming months.

“Work is also progressing on our multi-screen cinema scheme, which will include food and drink outlets.

“Kirkby is definitely changing and I’m so proud to be part of its transformation.”

Benetton childrenswear will be open from 9.30am until 5.00pm Monday to Saturday.  You can keep up to date with their latest news on Instagram – @benettonkirkby, Facebook – Benetton Kirkby, or via the company’s website – https://unitedcoloursofallerton.co.uk/
