Are you over 80? Have you had your COVID vaccination?
If you’re a Knowsley resident over the age of 80 years and you haven’t yet had your first COVID vaccination or an appointment to have it, an appointment can be made for you.
Knowsley’s Clinical Commissioning Group is continuing to work through the priority groups set by the Government and excellent progress is being made.
They have set up a telephone line, open from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday, for you to call if you are aged 80 years or over and you haven’t yet received your first vaccine or an appointment to receive it.
The telephone number to call is 0151 244 4121
COVID vaccination centres are currently open in both Huyton and Kirkby. If you are unable to attend one of these sites, please mention this when you call and where possible, alternative arrangements can be made.
The COVID vaccination is the best way to protect you from the virus.
Please remember once you have had the vaccine, you must continue to follow the rules and stay at home as much as possible, wear a face covering where advised and regularly wash your hands with soap and water. The vaccine can take a few weeks for your body to build up protection.
Further information about the COVID vaccine is available on the NHS website.
