Appeal for food donations

In response to the Coronavirus outbreak, Knowsley Council has established a community support line to help residents – in particular over 18,000 of the borough’s most vulnerable adults and over 70s who have been asked to self-isolate for 12 weeks in order to stay safe and well.

Now the business community are being asked for support to ensure that we can keep our most vulnerable residents supplied with emergency food relief over the coming months.

The Big Help Project – Knowsley Foodbank require supplies or surplus stock of the following items:

· Juice/ squash
· Custard
· Sugar
· Tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate
· Biscuits
· Soup (can/ packet)
· Rice pudding
· Milk UHT/ powder
· Beans/ spaghetti
· Tomatoes/ pasta sauce
· Pasta/ rice
· Meat
· Fish
· Vegetables
· Potatoes
· Cereal
· Chocolate/ snacks
· Desserts/ puddings
· Jam
· Toilet paper
