On the agenda at Cabinet, Wednesday 25 October

by Laura Johnston

Knowsley Council’s Cabinet met at 5pm on Wednesday, 25 October.

You can read the agenda and all the papers in full on the council’s website.

Here’s our quick guide to what was on the agenda.

Changes to One Stop Shop advisor services

Cabinet agreed changes to the council’s one stop shop advisor services from April 2018. These changes are in response to the increased use of online services and reductions in the council’s budget; however the council remains committed to providing an advisor service at each of its four one stop shops.

It means that, from April 2018, one stop shop advisor services will be available at:

Huyton and Kirkby: Monday to Friday 10am – 3pm;

Prescot: Monday, Wednesday and Friday (closed Tuesday and Thursday): 10am – 2pm;

Halewood: Tuesday and Thursday (closed Monday, Wednesday and Friday) 10am – 2pm.

There are further changes proposed from April 2019 affecting just Huyton and Kirkby one stop shops, where advisors will be available Monday to Friday 10am – 2pm.

Despite the proposed reductions, all of the council’s one stop shops will still be accessible Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm to visitors who can access online services, use self-service payment machines and make general enquiries.

Cabinet also considered a further two exempt items at the meeting.

Further details can be found on the council’s website.
