What’s on the agenda at Cabinet on Wednesday, 17 January

by Laura Johnston

Knowsley Council’s Cabinet meets this week. Here’s our quick guide to what’s on the agenda.

Knowsley special educational needs and disabilities strategy (2018-2021)

Cabinet will consider Knowsley’s Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) strategy for 2018-2021.  The strategy has been developed jointly with children, young people and their parents / carers, together with the organisations representing education, health and social care that support them.

The strategy outlines the priorities to be addressed over the next three years, together with the approach to be taken, in order to deliver the very best possible outcomes for children and young people with SEND in Knowsley.  This will ensure that resources are directed to where they are needed and when they are needed.

North Park Road and South Park Road conservation areas, Kirkby

Members will be asked to agree the adoption of the North Park Road and South Park Road Conservation Areas Appraisal and Management Plan and the proposed changes to the North Park Road Conservation Area boundary.

Reviewing the Borough’s conservation areas is part of a wider programme of work to conserve the Borough’s heritage assets. North Park Road and South Park Road in Kirkby are the most recent conservation areas to be reviewed with the appraisal, management plan and boundary amendments proposed following a public consultation.

Cabinet will also consider a further two exempt items at the meeting.
