Updated guide lists support services for adults

by Gemma Melling

A booklet which sets out key information about the services and support that is available for older people and vulnerable adults has been updated.

The Outreach for Older People’s Project (OOP) book provides essential information on local services across Knowsley.

The booklet has become a popular reference guide and has been updated and extended in the latest version to include support for adults at risk, as well as older people.

What kind of information will I find in the guide?

The colour-coded guide is presented in five sections:

  • Health and Social Care
  • Community Safety
  • Home life
  • Leisure and Social Activities
  • Finance

From wanting to change your doctor, where to go with foot problems, dementia support through to getting minor repairs in your home sorted, making your home warmer and debt advice – it’s all in here. There’s also a list of useful telephone numbers at the back of the guide.

Where can I get a copy?

You can pick up a free copy from a range of agencies including the council, CCG, Healthwatch Knowsley or Knowsley Disability Concern, or you can download a copy from the Knowsley Older People’s Voice website.
