A new way to plan your journeys around Knowsley

by Emily Maguire

A brand-new interactive roadworks map has been launched by Knowsley Council, providing details of live road closures and traffic management across the borough to help you plan your journeys around the region. Whether you are travelling to work, school, to the shops or to visit family or friends, this new map will help.

The map is updated every day to provide you with a live feed of what’s happening on Knowsley’s roads 24 hours a day. It’s easy to use,  you just type in the postcode of the area you want to look up.

As well as the map, there is a comprehensive list of works, by ward, as well as a search function to identify any works taking place in your area, or on your regular routes. This includes work being carried out by the council, for example, road re-surfacing, or work being carried out by others, such as gas, electric or other utility work.

Cllr Tony Brennan, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development says: “Whist we know roadworks can be disruptive at times, they are necessary. This new feature on our website means that all live works in the borough are available to be viewed in one location, helping residents and visitors to plan their journeys in advance.”
