Knowsley residents who want to lose weight, feel better and improve their health and wellbeing can access a free NHS weight-loss service being delivered by North West Boroughs Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.
The Healthy Knowsley Service is available to help people make small changes to their lifestyle that can result in a big difference to their overall health and wellbeing. It’s available to everyone over 16 years of age who is a Knowsley resident or registered with a Knowsley GP.
The service has wellbeing coaches who are ready to speak with people and discuss the options available to achieve their weight loss goals. Where necessary, service users will also be able to access support from weight management dietitians and cognitive behavioural therapists.
Susannah Green, Team Leader at North West Boroughs Healthcare, said: “We’re encouraging everyone to embrace a healthier lifestyle with our free weight-loss service in Knowsley. Our excellent team is here to work with you to develop a plan that will ensure you lose weight and keep it off.”
With current data showing that overweight people are significantly more likely to become seriously ill with Covid-19, compared to those with a healthier BMI, there really is no time like the present to take the first step.
If you’ve tried to lose weight in the past and have found that nothing seems to work, try our winning combination of wellbeing coaches, dietitians and cognitive behavioural therapists.”
